Overview

Got a great idea and you want to show everyone else?  Want to have a little festival or event? Then you should let us know and we might be able to give you the space to do it.  In order to attend any events or activities at FurtheMore 2017 as a panelist a person must be registered as an  attendee for the convention. As a panelist the following information applies to you, including special registration information and badges for panelists.

What You Need to Know

  • Panel Submission Deadlines:
    • Submissions open on Jan 5th
    • Submissions close on Feb 15th
  • Panel Submission Process:
    • Submit your Fan Panel request using the Furthemore 2017 Panel and Event Submission Form
  • Panels are hosted on a voluntary basis, no compensation – monetary or otherwise is offered or provided to panelists.

Fan Event Application Form

The application form must be filled out in its entirety with legal names (first and last name) and e-mail addresses. Failure to provide this information may delay the possible scheduling of any event up to and including denial of the submitted event. All applicants will receive a confirmation notice within 7 days after the application has been received.

All applications must be submitted by Feb 15th, 2017 by 11:59pm EDT. Late applications will not be considered under any circumstance. The Furthemore Panel and Event Submission form can be found here.

A single fan event application is for one panel, if you are applying for more than one panel please fill out a separate application form for each panel you want to submit.   All panels are allowed a maximum of eight (8) total panelists. Any panelists in excess of these eight (8) will need to speak with programming prior to submission.

General Information

  • Difference between Lead & Co-panelist/Co-Lead/Additional Panelists
    • Lead panelist is the main person(s) presenting the panel
      The Lead Panelist is the primary point of contact for the submitted panel application. Live Programming will contact the Lead Panelist directly, it will be their responsibility to share information with your group. The Lead Panelist should always be in contact with all Co-Lead and Co-Panelists.
    • Co-Lead panelist is a second lead panelist
    • Co-panelist/Additional Panelists are any secondary people assisting with presenting the panel
    • Maximum of 8 total running the panel
  • Panel Review Process
    • Once panel submissions close, it general takes a couple weeks to review all panel submissions. Once the initial review is complete it typically takes another week or so to finalize information and send out communications.  All Panelists should receive a notification of Accepted or Denied by March 15th.  If you have not recieved a notice by that time, please contact us.
    • If your panel is accepted the confirmation email will include the tentative time, date, and room location for your panel. Please note that the time/date/location are tentative and may be subject to change up until the convention.
    • Every effort will be made to schedule panels as close to the request time as possible.
  • Panel Statuses: Approved, Denied,
    • Approved means your panel will be included on the schedule and you qualify to purchase a panelist badge.
    • Denied means we were not able to place your panel in our schedule.  If we get any cancellations, we may contact you up to and including at the convention to see if you would like to fill the spot.
