FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What sort of ID do I need to pick up my badge?

We need government-issued photo ID so that we can make sure nobody other than you is trying to pick up your badge, or register in your name. A driver’s license, state-issued ID card, military ID or passport is sufficient. If you do not have any of the above, we still need something with your photo on it that will confirm your identity and your date of birth. Contact the Registration department if you are unsure.

Are “day passes” available?

In lieu of day passes, the price of basic registration is dropped each day. See the question below for more information.

What discounts are available for late arrivals?

If you arrive on Saturday, basic registration is only $35. If you arrive on Sunday, basic registration is only $25. (Please note that registration will close at 2 PM on Sunday.) These discounts do not apply to “Animal” or higher level memberships.

Are discounts available for children?

Yes. Refer to the grid below. All children under 13 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at the convention.

I am under 18. Can I register online?

If you are between 13 and 17, you are more than welcome to pre-register for the convention with your parents’ permission. However, in order to pick up your badge, a parent or guardian must accompany you to our registration desk or else sign and notarize this minor consent form for you attend. If you are under the age of 13, a parent or guardian must also register for the convention to accompany you.

The minor consent form is not valid unless it is signed and officially notarized, and you must provide the notarized form at the convention. Information on how to notarize a document can be found here.

Can I upgrade to a higher member level after registering?

Yes. Contact us before the online registration deadline of February 14, 2014 and tell us which member level you would like to upgrade to. You can also upgrade during the convention, right at the registration desk. The upgrade cost is the price difference between the two member levels at the time each one was purchased. For example, upgrading before the pre-registration deadline from a basic membership ($40) to an Animal sponsor ($90) is $50.

I just realized that I am not going to be able to attend, how do I get a refund?

Registrations are non-refundable. (Up to one month before the convention we accept requests to transfer a membership to another person. The new attendee will be required to provide proper ID and all required registration information.)
