Submission Info
Submit Artwork
The deadline for art submissions is: January 31st
Please know that artwork submitted to Fur the ‘More may be used for the following purpose(s):
- attendee badges
- advertising and promotional material for the convention, including t-shirts, flyers, decals, programs, and webpages
Any artwork used for such purposes is published to support and publicize the convention, its charities, and the artist, not for the financial benefit of any other individual (including the convention staff and directors) or any for-profit company. Fur the ‘More does not claim exclusive rights over the artwork (the artist may republish their artwork at any time). Artwork may be reused to promote subsequent Fur the ‘More conventions.
Submitting artwork is not a guarantee of publication. We receive many submissions and just don’t have enough material to use them all. Fur the ‘More reserves the right to reject submissions at any time. However, we do try to use as much of the art as possible. Artwork with furry AND conforming to the years theme will have preference over furry artwork of any other theme.
Types of Artwork
Black and White
Black and White artwork will be used for t-shirts (black t-shirts with white silk screening) and the conbook.
Full Color
Full Color artwork will be used for badges, sponsorship prints, possibly for t-shirts and conbooks. You may submit different versions of your artwork (i.e. a line art version and a full-color version) which will increase the chance of your artwork being used.
Content Guidelines
Artwork needs to be submitted by the original artist or their agent.
Artwork may be full-color or black and white.
Please put your own copyright somewhere within the piece of artwork, close to one of the figures depicted. Copyrights along the edge of a piece of artwork may be cut off if we need to trim the edges.
Artwork may not contain sexual situations, visible genitalia, or nipples. Artwork should fall within the G to PG-13 guidelines of the convention. If you are unsure, please contact our staff.
Format Guidelines
File formats include TIFF, JPEG (high quality), Adobe Photoshop, or Adobe PDF. All artwork must be high-resolution at 300 dpi or higher.
Badge Guidelines
Same as above, but scaled to 2″H x 4″W for use on our badge (400×800, 500×1000, 600×1200 pixels) in landscape (horizontal) orientation. If you do not incorporate the Fur the ‘More text (“Fur the ‘More <year>“) into your artwork, please leave a space in your composition for us to add it ourselves.
ConBook Guidelines
Useable page space is 4.25” wide x 7.25” high (half sheet). Artwork may be scaled to fit layout as needed. Submission of color artwork is encouraged.
Text submissions may be sent as .TXT, .RTF, Microsoft Word .DOC, or Adobe PDF. Text submissions should be no more than 2000 words.
